Question How tall is 315/35/R17 rubber?

I currently am running a 295/50/R15 on a 10" rim. I quickly measured how tall they were the other night, but don't remember. I think it was 28" ??? I lowered the back of my truck another 3" this weekend and noticed that they were starting to rub on the top of my wheel wells. I am thinking of going with 315/35/17 on an 11" rim. I wanna know how tall that is??? I need about 1.5 - 2 more inchs clearance so i don't rub when i am layd out. ne1 know??? Thanks!

315/35 17's are what's on the back of Stock ZR1 Corvette's. They're 26" tall. There's a local guy with an 85 dropped 6/8 with 275/40 17's up front and 315/35 17's out back.

It's pretty simple math...

(width x sidewall height percentage x 2 / 25.4) + rim dia

(295 x .50 x 2 / 25.4) +15 = 26.6" for your old tires

(315 x .35 x 2 / 25.4) + 17 = 25.7" for the new ones

The actual height will be a little different, but not much.

It's cool that you can remeber the formula. I can't ever remember it when I need it. Here's a tire calculator instead-
