Tachometer

Hey All- Thanks for your help.

I have a 1970 K10. The tach in the factory dashboard dosent work and hasnt since I bought the truck three years ago. I dont see a fuse and I am hesitant to undo all the wiring under the dash to trace it. Where do I start?

Re: Tachometer

A factory tach uses a standalone harness, you will see a pink and brown wire hooked directly to the back of the tach, the pink one goes to the fuse box and the brown one goes to the coil, or if you have an HEI ignition the brown wire goes the the terminal marked tach.
