All I have is what you see pictured. I believe the part number for the ball joint is the lower. I wish I had a complete set.

These are UPPER balljoints in your pictures,... but I have no idea if they are the correct part number for 71-72.
Is there any way to verify this before you sell these?

MoreLoveThanMoney...

You might want to double check these parts for verification. I have sold some parts and I descibed them wrong... I got everything straightened out but the process of reshipping the parts back and forth was a pain in the but.

Best of luck.

I'll take one ball joint pending shipped cost to 32803, commercial address. That looks like an upper ball joint.

Thanks!

If I ship 4, shipping looks like it would be $18. Just let me know what you guys want to do. Not much savings to do one box over two. I would do 25 ea shipped if you buy two or more

Not sure if upper and lower joints are the same and from what Im finding the part number I have is the lower joint. If the number I have is what you are looking for, 2 ball joints and 2 tie rod ends shipped would be $80

Re: Nos 71-72 ball joints, tie rods 1/2 ton disc

OK guys we have a problem. I have 8 ball joints and request for 9 possibly 11. Also, if it helps, I do have one more ball joint that I did not list. It does not have a number on it but the #3997409 joint is on the right in the pic which I believe to be lower and the one on the left Im not sure what it goes to.

You guys said "Ill Take" first but FL71C10 said it first pending shipping but confirmed later than the other 4. Im lost now as to who gets what.
BigJake would you take one if FL71 wants one for sure since you were last in?

Re: Nos 71-72 ball joints, tie rods 1/2 ton disc

I have tried to verify whether they are upper or lower but I do not have anything to go off of other than the part number on the box. When I google the number everything I find says lower. I have never changed ball joints on one of these trucks so I don't have any personal experience with the difference between upper and lower. I just had a box of NOS parts that weren't doing me any good on the shelf so I was just trying to get these parts available to guys that can use them. I wish I had more info to be more accurate. I'm open to suggestions of a verification process of somebody has one.

Here is an idea for you that might help.
If you have a part and are not sure what it is...post a picture in the 67-72 Message Forum and ask... I bet you will get the answers you seek. Best of luck.

They are definitely UPPER ball joints.
Lower ball joints press in.
The upper ball joints bolt in.
