My time... Nothing New. But it's my Build.

Bought the truck in 2009. Never did anything to it but change the oil and eventually put a 454 big block in it...10 years later and motivated by the builds on this site, here's my attempt to build something as cool as I've seen throughout the years.

Re: My time... Nothing New. But it's my Build.

Welcome aboard! That’s a very sharp truck you have there! I’d love to see more pics of it. What are the current plans for it? I’m just about sure I will paint mine the same blue as yours.

Re: My time... Nothing New. But it's my Build.

Currently a long bed c20. Plan on shortening it...making it a SWB, swaping the leaf springs for trail arms, air bags and etc. Also got rid of the of the 454. Going twin turbo 5.3 with a 4L80E.

Impressive, did you have the short block machined?

Negative sir didn't have it machined...just cleaned up and painted to look pretty. Regret not doing so but I have a spare motor that I snagged from a 2004 Tahoe for $200

Wasn't sure what turbo headers to go with. Seen a few different variations.

Never used the FiTech before either. A few friends have and recommended that I do so as well. We'll see how it works with a boosted application. Planning on running 15lbs of boost.

That thing is going to rip. Maybe one day I'll pull my engine back out and build it up like this.

Yup, those leafs aren't going to love the power you're about to bring down on them . . .

Re: My time... Nothing New. But it's my Build.

Decided to go with headers that put the turbos in an angle. Not quite sure what I want to do with the intercooler(s). A large single or duals?

Breakin out the big guns! I'm curious how you know you won't have any clearance issues.
