Re: Here it is.............. The GMC for 700 smacks

I would look for rust issues...what type of options this truck has...what engine...does it run...$2500 does look high w/o knowing facts. JMHO.

Maybe I need new glasses. Then it might be worth $700 but I still would need to have the above questions answered. What is the bed and frame like? Not bad for $700. JMHO

Wow... $700 doesn't look like a bad deal. I'd definitely make sure it's not a complete rust bucket and then I would be there with a truck and trailer.

Hey that truck is from Sherman County in Nebraska. Loup city is the county seat. Their claim to fame is that they are "the Polish capital of Nebraska"

Re: Here it is.............. The GMC for 700 smacks

you need to take some better photos if you are trying to figure if it is worth the money. From what little we see, I doubt it is.
Also, is this a parts truck for your kerfaggled 1/2 ton, or is this going to replace the 1/2 ton?
Pull it out of the weeds, wipe all that crap off, and open the doors, see if it has floor boards, see if it has mice, see if it has an engine, get us some better photos... the first 3 pics are of absolutly no value.
All we can tell in the first one is that it's a GMC.
All we cant tell from the second one is there is a steering wheel in it.
The third one.... I can only guess that the bent part is the hood maybe?

All we see, is a blue 71/72 (my guess is 72 with the mirror missing) GMC, and you say it is a 3/4 ton. That's all we see man.

Re: Here it is.............. The GMC for 700 smacks

Be sure to get that jungle off the roof and look at the drip rail and windshield gasket area. If that's toast, it isn't worth much at all. I wonder if the bed still has a floor, being full of wet dirt kills em quick!
Re-pop cab corners & rockers are cheaper than roof repair any day.

Leave it there and walk away. It's worth getting paid $700 to get it out.

I was told the owner of the truck stated there and moved back to his home town which was hallsboro NC. Then he moved up north with some of his kids and well he passed away a few months ago. The family acts like that the truck is rare.

There is really no way of telling with the truck burried like that, it looks like junk from what I can see. that is why a "deal" hardly ever is...
