Rear blinkers don't work....and some questions

Bought a new blinker return mechanism and blinker module. Took off the steering wheel and this don't look like it's for a 1960...might be but the new parts don't match. When I put the blinker left it lights up and connection at electrical junction blinks. RH no noise or circuit lights at Junction. Is this steering wheel from a 1960?

Yes, I think you have a slightly newer column (probably around a 63 or so to 66).

I believe the 60 to 62 turn signal switch was mounted to the outside of the column down under the dash and connected to the lever via a cable.

thanks and I do agree. Came in the house and started looking through the parts catalogs and its from a 63 according to the parts I need to order. Whats the best way to slide this out and replace?

thanks

Re: Rear blinkers don't work....and some questions

My 60 has a turn signal mechanism inside the shaft at the top and controls a wire to slide and control the switch at the bottom of the shaft. The electrical switch is at the bottom of the shaft. I believe that was for 60-62. However I am having problems with that switch at the bottom of the steering column. Today I am going to fix that. I will also try to post pictures soon.
