78 brakes on a 66 chevy

Can anyone give me a breif run down of what I would have to do to put an entire brake assy. off a 78 chevy 1/2 ton onto a 66 1/2 ton?
Does anyone make any adapter plates/brackets to make it where you can use the factory bolt holes?

Re: 78 brakes on a 66 chevy

I BELIEVE YOUR TALKING ABOUT THE REAR BRAKES?? I TOOK THE REARS OFF OF A 75 & PUT THEM ON A 69. REPLACED EVERYTHING INCLUDING THE BACKING PLATE. THIS GIVES YOU 2 1/2" WIDE SHOES INSTEAD OF 2" THAT CAME STOCK. JOHN
