Hey i have an 84 for a carb'd 350, my friend had an 87 he junked but kept the throttle body and computer off of. I'm wondering what all i would need to make it work on my motor. I know an electric fuel pump. I have a 700r4 so would need to figure that out. Thanks.

You will need all the sensors that go with the computer. The knock sensor, the computer temp sensor, oxygen sensor the distributer and ignition module. The heads have the center two intake bolts drilled at a different angle than the heads on a carbed engine. The TBI heads will fit on your 84 block though. Of course you will need the ECM harness also. Those are the parts I can think of off the top of my head, but could be some others that I missed also. Buddy

Intake
Center 4 bolt heads
Electric fuel pump and block off plate
Possibly a different fuel tank sump
I would get high pressure fuel line also or steel cause If I remember right 38psi is where those run.
Not sure if you need to change the distributor or not. But I know the TBI trucks had a different style.
Complete Wiring harness for an 87 so you can make sure you've got everything you need.
Not sure if all the ECMs were the same so pretty sure it's safe to assume you need one for the right displacement engine.

This is just a basic list there may or may not be more but this is all I could think of off the top of my head. TBI is a pretty good swap for something close too stock or stock. Just remember though that it does have it's limitations. Depending on your cash flow you might be better off looking at some of what the aftermarket has to offer. Add up what everything is going to cost you then compare to the aftermarket. Remember that sensors are getting kind of expensive for tbi stuff. So anything bad is gonna cost you.
