can't pump gas

This might not sound like a bad thing but i can't put gas in my truck, whenever i go to put gas in my truck it kind of spits it back out like a juice box that you blow air into that just leaks everything back out at you. Im not sure what it could be. my switch is on the RH tank and it lets me put gas in that one but im not sure if that would have anything to do with it, this has never happened before and i need to put gas in my truck because my gas guage isnt working. if you guys have a way for me to check my guages let me know the only one that is working is my speedo and its off because of my 3.73s.

Re: can't pump gas

I have the same issue. Both my fill and vent lines are rotted bretty badly. I was going to replace them and see if that helped.

Seems to me that if the vent line is rotted/collapsed/otherwise blocked that it would be the most likely culprit.

Re: can't pump gas

You are probably putting the nozzle to deep in the filler... If it is aimed toward the curved portion it will do that too..

Re: can't pump gas

it might be the filler neck got flattened by some debry flinging onto it from the tire .
you might check inside the rearfender if you can see the fillerneck , you could allso try to get the side you fill the truck over a bit higher by parking it halfway on a curb or sumtin
