Livrat built?

Is this the truck you built years ago Mark? I saw it at The Rock in Covington tonight. Any idea who owns it now? I've always loved this truck, if it's the same one.

Re: Livrat built?

Wow, its still around!! Yes that was my first attempt at building an extended cab.. No idea who has it now.. the last I heard it was damaged by sideswiping a guard rail.. nice to see it still looks good.

It looked nice in the dark! Not sure if that's good! That is the truck that made me love these trucks again!

Re: Livrat built?

May I ask if there is/was a build thread on this? I was considering something similar for my c60, was basicly going to cut the back wall out of my cab, and cutting off a second cab right behind the door posts. Am I close?

Re: Livrat built?

Sorry no build thread. I built that before this board existed and the internet was an infant.
If my old brain is remembering correctly, It was constructed using a longhorn frame, the roof, floor and quarter panel patches from a suburban, I cut the back of the cab off, moved it rearward 17 inches along with the cab mounts. put Burb "center" mounts in the middle, used a portion of the burb floor to fill in the floor section, then installed the front and rear sections of the burb roof. I robbed the quarter windows from an 88 "F$%D Ranger.

TIM!!!... A ranger?????... OUCH!!... Shhhhhhhhhhhh!!! don't let the secret out!! LOL... your confusion will clear up after another cup of Coffee...

Yes our trucks were around before the board, right about 10 years for me.

But seriously, Thank you for the compliment !!

Here is what started my addiction.. My $50.00 67 stepside beater I stuffed a 13-1 427 in and went racing, You can tell how long ago it was by the "mullet" and lack of gray hair.. LOL..

Re: Livrat built?

Wow some classic pics of the old man lol. I remember driving the extended cab to the Monroe Swap Meet. I couldn't get my parts out of the back, with all the attention that truck brought.

Stupid phones.... here's what I've got, obviously I put a fleet box on it and rattle canned it black 2 summers ago. Like I said in my PM, once the new shop goes up this spring it gets blown apart.
