Bold graphics, airbrush, gradiant and true-fire

What happens when you want to paint your truck with bold graphics, airbrush, gradiant and true-fire but can't decide on just one???

I have seen worse things done to a Blazer, like the "Mad Max" thing that was posted here a while back. Now that was just plain wrong in so many ways.

Lose the exhaust tips, the tire/rim combo and go to all silver and I would really like it. Course I'm partial to silver!

Re: Bold graphics, airbrush, gradiant and true-fire

To me, the truck is so close to being really nice, but it is just over the top. Remove one of the paint tricks (ok, maybe two) and it would be a nice looking truck. Right now, it is graphical upchuck with some true-fire thrown in.

It is much better than the mad-max thing but not as nice as most of the rigs on the board.

Re: Bold graphics, airbrush, gradiant and true-fire

I kinda like it but, if I'm doing custom paint, it's gotta be flames. Do away with the paint going forward and it mite work. Like said, tires and wheels have to be smaller....

My fav. would be a two tone paint, with metal separating the colors, like '67, '68

Out of a possible 10, I would rate it a 9. Who ever did it is talented. J.

Re: Bold graphics, airbrush, gradiant and true-fire

I don't think its that bad. I would have done things a little different but hey it looks solid, has a really nice looking interior and a 454.

Some pimples are just a little bigger than others.

Re: Bold graphics, airbrush, gradiant and true-fire

After reading the title of the thread, I actually knew which truck was getting called out on eBay. I'm close to buying it...just letting the auction play out for a couple more days. But I totally agree with the comments so far. Once you get past the shock factor (read as gaudy paint) it ain't bad... plus it's got a brand new Kayline top to boot.

Re: Bold graphics, airbrush, gradiant and true-fire

I'm going to take a wild guess here. I think the " true-fire " and fade on the rear was done as a repair. I'm going to guess that for whatever reason the back part of the truck needed to be painted and they felt it was much easier to add another style of graphic rather than fix the original ones.

Unfortunately, they didn't pull it off...

Interesting take on that. I didn't thing about that. Hopefully for the board member looking to buy it, the body work was done properly. A nice solid silver paint job would look great!

I feel like it's ready to attack and frankly I'm a little scared. Honestly It's a nice ride just to over the top.
