?????what bucket seats should i use??????
Wondering what kind of vehicle you guys get your bucket seat from. I want the low bak style, the ones that sit below the rear window. I have a set of buckets from a 1998 chevy, buy not sure if i like the way they sit in my truck.
Didn't some of the older blazers come with low back buckets??? Got any pics of your low backs installed????????????????? |

Re: ?????what bucket seats should i use??????
Some of these trucks have low back factory buckets from 77 and older trucks good luck getting brackets for them though.

Re: ?????what bucket seats should i use??????
73-77? trucks and blazers. You'll be better off finding a blazer with them in though. Can't tell you how to make the brackets off a blazer work though. The truck brackets are hard to find. Trevor

I have a set in mine like above and was lucky to get them with the brackets off of this board and they look and ride great. I love them.

Re: ?????what bucket seats should i use??????
No, they did not bolt right in. Had to weld the brackets in. It has been about four years now but I bolted the brackets to the seats then located the seat where I wanted them, marked the spot then had them welded in. Now the passenger seat does not adjust but the driver will. They do not fold forward. The seats I have came out of a 70's Chevy truck. (76-78?) They are the low back.

Re: ?????what bucket seats should i use??????
I will try to take some pictures but I just got out of the hospital. Had a total knee replacement so I am not getting around to great at this time. So it might be a while. The poor truck has not been started in some time now. I will have to get my wife to go out tomorrow and start and let it run some. I can not even go out and start the truck.

Re: ?????what bucket seats should i use??????
Yep, it sucks but I had to have a knee replacement. The pain will go away in time but now it hurts like "heck". I am in rehab and they are trying to kill me. Not really but they put you through so much pain so you can get better. Please take care of you knees. Mine were down to bone to bone. I will have to get the other knee done sometime but no time soon.

Re: ?????what bucket seats should i use??????
I put some buckets in mine a few years back. I think they came out of an 80's Blazer. I had to make brackets to get them to fit. Sorry the pic is not that great.

Re: ?????what bucket seats should i use??????
here's the ones i put in my 87 a few years ago...they were factory truck low back's,..like someone said, you gotta remember that the factory buckets, the passenger side doesnt fold down or slide forward at all, and the drivers side wont fold down either
...i used the blazer center console...looked great, but was a lot of work

Re: ?????what bucket seats should i use??????
Looks like my seats except mine have the chrome diamond in the center on the backs as OE. I had mine recovered also in black as above. As said was a lot of work but well worth it. Looks great.
