bolts for engine stand?
i got one of those engine stand that bolt to where the tranny bolts to the motor. any one got any idea what the bolt size are for it? and what grade? thanks

Alexis: what size engine have you got? always use grade 8 bolts on a stand.

The bell bolts are 3/8 -16 NC thread on the chevys

I don't use grade 8, not even on a big block, just goto thebolt bin, grab them and grab the 9/16 end wrench

I dont use grade 8 now,i got 2 big blocks on stands right now that have been on there for atleast 6 months,they lean,but as long as you use a correct length bolt and not to use 20 washers,then the bolt wont be too stressed and snap,grade 8 is actually more brittle in some instances and snap,alot of the tractor guys and farm workers around here actually use grade 5 theyd rather have the bolt shear of than break the part.
