72 Cheyenne Super Take a look

Just thought I'd post some pics of a side job I worked on. I installed a tilt that I rebuilt & had chromed, a speed warning tach/vac dash and chrome glove box door. I thought this is a beautiful truck so I wanted to share some pics.

Not far off!

Beautiful truck and really love that interior!.....and pardon me but I'm gonna criticize just a little. When you have the moldings on these trucks you gotta take the time and get them to line up better. I see many really nice trucks that when you look down the side, the mldgs. don't line up and it seems the back cab supports settle and the cab to bed moldings are the most obvious. I know it can be a pain in the @ss to get it right, but it just makes a difference.

Never the less, that is a gorgeous truck!

I AGREE. BUT JUST TO LET EVERYONE KNOW THIS IS NOT MY TRUCK IT IS ONE THAT I DID SOME WORK ON. I HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH MOLDINGS OR LINING UP PANELS.

I figured that and knew you did alot of this stuff for other people and do exceptional work (met you at one of the Goodguys in Pleasanton). If it came across that way, I apologize........Just a "pet peeve" of mine cuz I've seen alot of really nice trucks with moldings that don't line up very well.

Kevsclassic you did a great job. Looks great.
But i have been saying the same thing for years about the trim. I see it on this board all the time, classic trucks magazine and car shows. I know that it can be a chore to get everything lined up. Especially the cab corners. Both of these trucks look great.

No offence taken at all. I also have seen many nice trucks with uneven moldings. Yours look pretty straight. Things like that makes yours stand out from others. Yes I remember meeting you. Hope to meet again. I would like to see your truck in person. Are you going to Pleasanton this weekend? If I go I will be spectating due to the price of gas I will go in my wifes Camry 4 cyl.

Re: 72 Cheyenne Super Take a look

SWEETNESS BY THE BARREL! Im lovin the look of that.

Edit a few questions Is the ash tray also chrome? Where did you/he find the chrome cups for the A/C vent balls? All the ones I have seen have been black. If and when I build my 67 the out side wont get much chrome but the INSIDE will get as much as I can find.

For some reason that colum looks WAY better than say a flaming river polished or IDIDIT.

That's a very nice truck, and I love that color, can't go wrong with blue.

Were there buddy buckets in 72? I have them in my 70 but did not think they were original, I will attach photos. I thought they were a 67-68 option. They look great either way. Sweet truck.

Do you mind if I ask where you got the seat covers? I haven't seen the houndstooth with the vinyl embossing. Very nice job on the entire truck. And those are some of the nicest buckets out there...
