i don't wanna go!!!
well guys i'm gettin ready to leave for a 7 month deployment. not my first, but i just hate goin. so much bs i have to take care of before i leave. this is going to be the longest of the deployments that i will have been on. on the up side i'll be comin back with a good chunk'o'change. net connection out at sea sucks so if anyone here wants to chat just shoot me an email at john.bird@cvw2.navy.mil

I remember those days, you knew you'd end up seeing something cool and doing some crazy sh*t, but the idea of 7 months was just hard to get excited over. Just think, someday you'll have the cool stories to tell to your non-vet buddies.

"Back in the day" when I was in the military we had 9 month deployments.I tried to make the best of an undesireable time, but then, I never served during wartime.
We all know what you all are doing makes a difference to us in the states, and we are thankful for your service to our country.May the Lord protect you and your commrades as you do the difficult tasks in defending freedom.
