Where does everyone keep their trucks?

Hi everyone,

I've noticed many members have several trucks listed in their signatures. I have 2, and may be getting a third in a few weeks.

Because I live in an HOA-controlled neighborhood, I'm looking at inexpensive storage/shop places that are nearby.

But this made me wonder what everyone else does for parking space.

And of course, please include pics.

Thanks!

Re: Where does everyone keep their trucks?

HOA neighborhood, also. The '01 Sub sits in the driveway and the '66, the '65, and a '00 Camaro SS stay in my 30' x 50' shop behind my house. Our HOA allows for one outbuilding, and mine just happens to be big enough for three vehicles and the rest of my junk.

Mine is parked in the street, because my garage is full of junk.

I moved to the country. A paved driveway big enough to hit second gear, and wide enough for a U turn. Five vehicles outside, five in the garage.

+1 for the time being. but there are yankee developers nearby rezoning and are on a house building frenzy - the kind where 2 home owners can open a window and shake hands

Re: Where does everyone keep their trucks?

We live in a rural neighborhood, with an attached two car garage (no HOA). The truck always has priority in the garage. When we had 2 new cars, one of them had to stay outside. When we do projects in the garage and only one vehicle can spend the night inside, it's always the truck. I have one of those rare wives that appreciates the investment we have in the truck.

Re: Where does everyone keep their trucks?

I have a two car carport next to the house, thats where mine usually sits, however, I just built a 20x20 garage in the backyard last year, as soon as I finish the Aristocrat lo Liner restore, the truck and trailer will be housed in the garage. sorry the pix is so big.

Re: Where does everyone keep their trucks?

(photo from when it was torn apart earlier this year)

Technically the truck lives in the garage, in reality it depends on what other projects need that space. It spent this whole past winter in the yard as I was rebuilding the $1000 Scion xB I got as my girlfriend's daily. And it spent the past few months in the driveway because the replacement cab was in the middle of it's garage bay.
I actually just last night cleaned up the garage and got the cab moved off to the side so it could go back in the garage.

Re: Where does everyone keep their trucks?

I live in a rental, in an neighborhood directly NEXT to an HOA controlled neighborhood. Needless to say, I'm "that guy" to most of my neighbors...

'66 in the garage, blazer and gf's car on the slab. Anytime someone in the area does a burnout or there is a nuisance call....I get a knock on the door.

Over here in the Uk there is no way my truck would fit in the garage so I built a car port

Re: Where does everyone keep their trucks?

Back yard on the side of the house! Wish I had a shop or a bigger garage! Oh - by the way, that awning got blown away by a macro burst storm a few weeks ago. 100+ mph winds, twisted like a pretzel but luckily no damage to the "Beast".

Hmmmmmmm ??

If you cleared out the carage the truck may just squeeze in.

However, even your carport photo is deceptive because the fit is so tight.

Been awake since 02.15 and surfing web on phone. Insomnia sucks. Will post up pic later from PC

It might fit in the garage Grizz but I wouldn't be able to open the door to get out

Re: Where does everyone keep their trucks?

driveway or street

I feel for you guys in an HOA I could not do that. I'm in a normal neighborhood built in the early 50's but looking to buy again in the country in the next couple of years.

It's either in its house (the shop) or parked under the carport attached to the shop.
