wheel questions
hey guys im new to this forum and so far its been awesome to me. i just lowered my 68 c10(3/5) drop and im having issues with the wheels. My stock 15s rubbed on the caliber and as much as i would love to keep em i would need like 1/2 inch spacers to get them to fit. and now i got pair of 16s but they rub on the tie rod end were it attaches to the spindle. i would like to get as much steer back as possible. any advice with wheels choice would be greatly appriciated

Re: wheel questions
rims made b4 1970 wont clear disc brakes if you get later model wheels you wont have clearance problems as the wheel construction is different

Re: wheel questions
Late model wheels have the wrong backspacing to use on older trucks. Is your truck still 6-lug?

Re: wheel questions
You have to grind off the little ears that are hitting the center hub but DON'T touch the areas on either side of the ears! They need that area to be untouched so they can balance the wheels! Then they should fit. Thats what i had to do to get 04 1/2 stock steel wheels to clear that hub on the rear axle.
