K10 carnage You might not want to see.

No it wasn't mine! I just spotted this while cruisin the bay. Looks like it was pretty sweet. The VIN indicates it's a 2wd cab. I'm sure it made someone quite unhappy.

Nice tailgate.I`d want an explaination in the description before considering that.If it`s a theft recovery (I`d assume) I`d have to wonder how macked-out the drivetrain got from the abuse.

Holy crap Asa when I saw this thread on the main page the first truck I thought about was yours and then I saw that you were the author of this thread it just about made me sick. Sure glad it wasn't yours but that does suck for whoever it did belong to.

i emailed the guy and asked what happened and if there was frame damage, here is his response...

No frame damage that I could tell. It does run & drive. Type of accident is unknown. Thanks!

Re: K10 carnage You might not want to see.

I looked at his "other items for sale" and its all rebuildable stuff. I was probably in the Tornados that went from Arkansas to Tenn. Thats about all I could think of to cause that type of damage..

Geeeee...I wonder if that is the same place I purchased my 70cst back in 2001? The place was in Celina Tn. Mike delt with used cars and also had a salvage yard. I will send an email and ask.

Yea, light damage all over, no kidding... I would guess that it was a tornado and a fence post went through the cab and got the door. In any event, that's terrible...

Re: K10 carnage You might not want to see.

Something heavy (maybe a console) was inside and got thrown against the door during a rollover of some sort. Lets hope it wasn't a person that got thrown against the door.

Re: K10 carnage You might not want to see.

I agree on the possible tornado victim scenario.I was thinking maybe the owner was involved in a nasty divorce and wondered if my trucks might end up looking that way before it`s all over.

Re: K10 carnage You might not want to see.

All I can say is WOW! It does look like in a way its was taken for a joyride due to the front bumper is crashed in...and it looks like someone wife/girlfriend got mad and trashed his truck.

Re: K10 carnage You might not want to see.

Looks to me like a "light rollover" that started when the right passenger side hit something. It could have been done out on a trail at low speeds.

There is either frame or suspension damage. Look at this pic. The DS tire is tracking somewhat straight and the PS is turned to the right.

Re: K10 carnage You might not want to see.

Celina is about an hour or so from me. That's where some of the Tornadoes went through. So I would definitely guess they rolled that thing. Pretty sad.

Re: K10 carnage You might not want to see.

I am leaning toward a semi low speed rollover with a non belted in driver. I would say the inside door dent is from someone who didn't believe in seat belts when it rolled over. Anyway, it seems like a high price for the amount of work it will take to get it back right.

that is bent. Look at the relationship of the left front wheel to the fender....then the pic of the right side wheel. That's not an optical illusion (IMO)...the right front is pushed back
