Goodyear Vintage Sports Car Tires -- 15x10" -- Anyone tried them?

BF Goodrich tires are fine and cool and everything, but to me there is something special about Goodyear. Back in the day, all the really cool race cars had them. I was bummed that lately they didn't seem to ever have anything wide for a 15" wheel other than mud tires.

And I couldn't bring myself to go with a 16, 17, or more. The larger diameters just didn't feel right on a vintage truck.

But a few weeks ago I saw these beauties at Summit. I think they even have a couple of widths.

Has anyone tried them? Are they race-only or would they be ok for a weekend driver? The description refers to track use.

IMHO I agree with you on the Goodyear looks, however these tires are not DOT approved, recommended for track use, bias w/tube required and have no warranty. To me this raises several red flags for street use. But then some folks run slicks on the street. I wouldn't take the the risk of wrecking my truck, injuring myself or worse yet injuring someone else. Again this is my opinion!

Thanks. I was afraid of that. Oh well. I've seen that Mickey Thompson has some nice street tires that look pretty cool, too.
I wonder if Goodyear knows this may be a good market for them.
