I had a Chevy/GMC grill idea?

Well those of you that have seen my delema I had posted on here about the Chevy Fenders and the GMC grill know what I did. I just got the right fenders and moved on.

But, I thought about it again and came up with an idea I might have done if I would have thought about it then.

I had 72 Chevy Fenders on the front of my GMC and had to change them to work with the GMC grill.
If I would have kept the Chevy fenders and purchased a Chevy outer grill surround and the phantom grill insert it would have looked as if it were a 4WD chevy with a phantom grill and a GMC tail gate until I turned on the 4 headlights lurking from behind the phantom grill.

Has anyone done this? How did it work out....Any new issues I might come up with?

Its not to late I might change my mind on the new GMC fenders and go this route just because.. LOL

Here is a picture of one I found the truckin site.

That sounds like a great ideal. I like the two headlights.
