Leaf Springs, front and rear
Hey all,
I am planning on re doing my suspension. I have a 72 Blazer and I think the front leaf springs are bad as they are fairly flat. They haven't hit the leaf spring blocks, which means they aren't completely spread out, but i wanted to see if someone could send me pictures of their front leaf springs on a 72 so that i can compare. A picture of some rear leaves wouldn't be bad for comparison either. Thanks all. |

Re: Leaf Springs, front and rear
I have a 71 and 72 and both of them have flat front springs, I thought that something was wrong with the 71 when I bought it. But come to find out they were ok. I put a lift on the 71 but the 72 still has stock springs and they are flat.

Re: Leaf Springs, front and rear
The stock front springs should have a slightly inverted arch to them. Upont compression, the rear shackles should rotate forward.

all through the years The front springs have had a flat or negative arch to them. That is normal
