Angry Damn heads are cracked !!!

I dropped by the machine shop today to see how the progress is coming with my block, intake and heads. The good news is the block and intake will be done tomorrow. The bad news was , both heads are cracked!!! I was not a happy camper to hear that. I have a spare 350 block with heads on it, so I took those heads off and delivered them to him. So I should find out tomorrow if they are useable or not. Talk about a PISS OFF!!!!

If I recall your heads were #882? If so they are prone to cracking in the 2 center exhaust seats FYI. Hope you fine some good ones.

Dubs...at least you were smart enough to have them inspected. I knew a guy in high school that thought magnafluxing was a waste of money. Sunk quite a bit of $$ into some bum heads and found out on the big end of the track!
Funny how oil and coolant looks like a chocolate milk shake huh?

What's that Tim..... you said you are a crack head LOL

I had a really low miles very clean set of those 882's. I threw them in the scrap bin and put on some old heavy cast heads off of you guessed it a 72 truck.

I have some 291 camel hump heads that I will sell. They need one small repair, and then new valves, etc. If your other ones aren't any good let me know if you are interested.

Thanks for the offer larry, but I can get the machine shop to build me some reman heads for about $300 , so if this second set is no good, then i will be going that route.
