Beautiful truck.
A minor criticism but I would have black headlight bezels, I think they look a lot better.

You're right. It's a super nice truck but would be better with a correct restoration. The steering wheel and dash pad should be Sandalwood and that's a '69 grille,to name a few more things. It wouldn't take much to make correct,if it truly left the factory as what it appears to be after the restoration.

Re: Really Nice 70 Short 4X4 on Ebay

Great looking truck, but I thought they didn't offer those "original" wheels until the mid 70's. Also if they have already invested that much money in a nut and bolt resto, why not put a reprodutction Delco battery in it. Still awesome none the less.

Good observation. The SPID does look original and authentic, though. What are they talking about,"...one year only in production"? My only knocks,as usual, are against the seller. What a great truck! It's just not 100% correct,as stated, and not a one year only production. I had a Medium Gold Poly '70 CST with Parchment interior and that sure is a sharp combo. I especially like that it's a 4spd bucket seat CST. I could handle straightening out the rest if I bought it. Rallyes always look great and no exception here. But,I have a freshly powdercoated set of white 8" steel wheels and hubcaps I'd slap one there day 1 to set off that white top.

Clint, that is certainly interesting. I also have never seen a 69 or 70 cst without a headliner. It does have the cargo light though. I wonder if they swapped the cab or replaced the roof? I can't see a person not wanting a headliner and filling the mounting slots.

it looks like a 72 cab look at the vents on the cab in the lower corner on the inside I think only 72s had them

First off, that is a sweet truck!!
Second, i believe the early 69 trucks did not have a headliner or cargo light. (i have a 69 cst with no headliner or cargo light) By 70 i thought they all had them.

Re: Really Nice 70 Short 4X4 on Ebay

20,000 and a day left. Serious money but probably still a good deal since you probably couldn't build it for that.
