A little off topic but what kind of seat do you have in the truck?

I order from Classic Parts. I find they give better service and offer better prices than LMC ever did.

Re: Where to buy Rocker Panels for a 66 chevy

My shop is between the triangle formed by LMC Truck in Lenexa, KS...Classic Parts in Riverside, MO and Jim Carter in Independence, MO, so I have used all of them. I typically use Classic Parts for my patch panels.

www.truckandcarshop.com is also a good source for patch panels.

tony I have heard you mention before that you have checked out all 3 places in person...
why did you choose classic parts over the others?
also usually on ebay you can find rockers for about 1/2 the $ that lmc wants, any experience (good/bad) with them?

I have been pleased with Tri-Pro, but call them and negotiate shipping. Their web based calculator can screw you; I got overcharged once and when I told them, they shipped my next order for free.

Re: Where to buy Rocker Panels for a 66 chevy

Anyone have a tech post on how to replace the rocker panel? I have a rocker panel from GM, I'm not sure where it came from, but it looks good, and its not old. Is GM still repoping them?

I know I ran accross this before, but of course I have never saved the link to the thread

The most most important part IMO is to fit the rocker with the door! Over and over, I see people completely on various sites completely weld a new rocker in without a door ever bolted on the cab.
Most, if not all of these parts are overseas repops. While I feel fortunate that there are so many parts available for these trucks, these are not exactly the same as the original GM parts. Everything will fit at least slightly different than from the factory

OK, I'm done

Re: Where to buy Rocker Panels for a 66 chevy

thanks for your info, I'm going to check Classic Parts.

aerotruk63 - I don't know what kind of seats they are, they were there when I got the truck, but I'm looking for seats from a 1999-up chevy with the seat belt on them.

Plus 1 Id like to know what size tires and wheels you are using. Is this truck a 2x4 or 4x4? I really like the way it looks!
