Question Question about 700R4 tranny's

I bought another K5 Blazer(1979) last year and need to put a transmission in it. I bought a 1990 Suburban for a parts truck for all my trucks. It had a 700R4 with the 241. I want to use this for my 79 Blazer. Is there some computer hook up I need, or will this thing work right after installation. The 700R4 needs to be rebuilt first. Thanks again fellas for a GREAT site. I don't post much but I read it DAILY!!!!!

Re: Question about 700R4 tranny's

If you don't need the VSS, sell the 241 to someone who wants it and pick up a 208. They shoule be easier to find. Also, grab the floor tunnel and shifter; it should bolt in place, IIRC.

You need to make the lockup work and make sure to adjust the tv cable correctly. No computer until 94.
