7"/8" 5-lug Rallye Set

……………………………………………………………………...SOLD!………………………………………………………………………..
I restored this staggered set of 5 on 5s last summer for my future use but now want to sell. They've been checked, sand blasted, etch primed, shot with argent paint, and cleared. The trim rings are new stainless and I'm providing new 88-98 center caps. They are very nice and bolt-on ready. Shipping will add a lot and that's why I was slow to post them. A more local sale, within meeting distance is probably best for total cost. I can provide new GMC center caps in place of the Chevys and would consider letting the wheels go for less w/o center caps. I'd like the rings to stay on the wheels since I'm sure they dug into the paint. I'm looking to get $425 for the set... postal money order SOLD!

Re: 7"/8" 5-lug Rallye Set

Boy, are staggered rallyes really that unpopular now? Not a single view even. These wheels are saweet! <Do people still say that? I do when I mean it and I also think rallyes are still one of the best looking wheels on a C/10, even if I'm the only one

Re: 7"/8" 5-lug Rallye Set

Used to I could not get Rally wheels fast enough to keep up with buyers , now I cant even find 1 buyer for 1 set . The 6 lug Rallys used to sell well too , not anymore , at least here in Ga . I think the big wheel craze has caused it .

Re: 7"/8" 5-lug Rallye Set

Remember the view thing is broken. It really throws me off. Good looking wheels at a good price. Maybe 15 inch wheels have seen their day? It’s weird because those wheels with a tire that has a nice sidewall would look amazing!

Re: 7"/8" 5-lug Rallye Set

I still think these are the best looking wheels on a 67 up truck even though they are not period correct . Although White Steelies with Doggy dishes look great too . My trucks wear different shoes from time to time .

Re: 7"/8" 5-lug Rallye Set

I’m looking for a pair of bare 15x7 rallies.
But all I find are the 15x6.5 VAN rallies.
Seems the true 15x7’s are getting hard to find.
They work better with drop spindles in my opinion.

It’s the 15 in size I believe ? Folks want bigger wheels now.

Re: 7"/8" 5-lug Rallye Set

I guess the monkey see monkey do bunch only go by what everyone else is doing and not, IMO, what looks best. Kinda funny how the timeless classic handsome 67-72s never goes out of style but what wheels the followers want does, even the timeless classic handsome GM truck rallyes. I remember when no one ran deep dish wheels and hubcaps, but I always have. I did these wheels for myself as an alternate set, like Flashed does, but now I need to sell. I have others in my stash to restore when the time comes. I can keep sitting on these until they come back, which they will I'm sure (and cost more)

I had them on FB Marketplace last summer and had a lot of interest... from people who can't read a whole listing, such as what the lug pattern was or that they are. Or they were far away and paid no attention to my location and expected shipping to not be a factor

I did forget the view counter wasn't working

I viewed them, twice. For the count.
I have some 7s and 8s extra myself.

Re: 7"/8" 5-lug Rallye Set

No swap meets this year. That's where I have the best luck selling wheels. Touchy Feely Cash & Carry

I'm cool with keeping them (or any other part I list) if no one wants them. I just wanted to talk to someone mostly

Re: 7"/8" 5-lug Rallye Set

I have 8" on front and back on mine and think that these are the best looking wheel for these trucks. I also have a ser of 7" extra... I really like the idea on the center cap.

Re: 7"/8" 5-lug Rallye Set

Thanks on the center caps, and I still prefer 8s up front for that road hugger look. My other set is vintage 15 x 8 steelies. Not Wheel Vintiques, vintage from back in the day. I like these center caps for being smooth and clean as well as sitting back in the wheel flatter for a better deep dish look. I also have a new take off set of the 88-98 styled steel wheels, which are 7", that those center caps belong on for another alternate set. These were off a Cheyenne with black center caps because they've never had trim rings mounted. Not For Sale. I'd like to find another set and have them widened to 8". It's funny, those wheels came on a bazillion trucks but I have a hard time finding those. I don't want to cut these wheels up to widen. Hoping to find some in "ok" condition. I see them as a blend of steelie and rallye.

Not for sale, just making conversation until someone comes along to buy the rallyes, or not . If it goes on too long like this I'll move it to the message board and edit out the sale parts
