Question for GMC guys.
This question has probablly been asked several times before. Here is what I have. I just brought home a 70 GMC custom short was a fleet but now has step bed. the lower ball joint came apart and wrecked the passenger side fender and grill. I have a couple of the 67-68 grilles and hoods. O.K. to what I need to know. Can I use the the gmc rad. support if I cut the 4 eyes brackets off. I know the fender will work. If is going to be to much trouble. I will probablly part it out.

Re: Question for GMC guys.
Yes, just knock the head light ext. off. You will have to make a hole for the head light adjuster also. I'm sure someone else will kick in with something I missed. You won't have the holes for the pan at the bottom of the 67/68 grill, but it's not necessary. Hood release and grill support also.

Barry, sorry to here that. Are you gonna reincarnate it into another truck or sell parts? Is the frame bent? You see short frames popping up from time to time.Good luck with it.

Re: Question for GMC guys.
Hey Special-K no the frame isn't bent but I will need the front crossmember also, but the real reason I have a 68 short fleet I need to concentrate on.
thought if the GMC wouldn't be alot of work I would do a quick fix and drive it for a while. |
