Water coming out of tailpipe pipe and other problems

Just got my truck back yesterday from the exhaust shop. I got a new system from the manifolds all the way out the back, dual setup. Now on startup, alot of water will start to come from the tailpipe. Just droplets, but alot of them. And a little bit of white smoke...pretty faint. Not sure if I'm burning oil of it's just the vapor from the water. But it's definitely white in color, no matter how faint it is.

Also the fan shroud would rub against the blades (check my previous thread from yesterday), so we took that off completely for now. Need a new one anyway. When we did, we noticed coolant dripping from the engine. Turned on the engine and sure enough it was being flung from the pulley. So I guess my water pump decided to quit on me? Power steering pump is also leaking, so we'll replace both at the same time.

Could the two be related?

EDIT: I know it's normal for some water to come out....it's the byproduct of the process. But it just seemed like more than I've seen before.

Have you noticed where the water might be coming from? There are a few possibilities here. Have you overheated the engine recently? It is likely your water pump is leaking, but check your hose to see if it might have gotten nicked by you shroudless fan. Also it is possible that you might have a small crack in you water chamber inside your engine. That would explain the excessive water from the tailpipe, but not from the front of the engine. Might want to check your head gaskets also. Sorry I can't help more.

White smoke and some water dropletts is normal on a cold engine. It is just condensation from inside the tailpipes. I would't worry about it unless it keeps doing it after the engine is warmed up

if the shroud is making noise sometimes it's from having bad engine mounts

hm does it look like the water is leaking between the head and the block, you could have a bad head gasket too

We can't pinpoint the leak. But it looks to be wet all underneath the water pump. It's not wet anywhere above it. And while it was running, water was literally flinging off the pulley creating a puddle under the truck. So it's not just a tiny leak.

Well, more than likely it's just the waterpump and the water from the tailpipe is unrelated. Luckily waterpumps are fairly cheap and easy to install. Need help? I'm right here in Austin too.

in some areas during the winter they put stuff in the gas calling it oxegynated gas and that causes ALOT of condensation out the tailpipe

A new exhaust system is more likely to do this--no carbon build-up to insulate the new steel surfaces------therefore, more condensate! In summation--no biggie!
