Re: 292 Power steering Help ?

You need to find a set of brackets for the pump. They are pretty hard to find. You can get some from a 250 with external manifolds & use it with some modifications. They are common on Malibu's & Camero's.

Re: 292 Power steering Help ?

I don't think anyone has fabbed a mount for the 6 of either displacement. The 292 is a truck only engine and are kinda hard to find PS brackets for.If you subscribe to the BB you can place a WTB ad in the classifieds. The 250 has 2 different versions of bracket(one for integrated head engines and one for non-integrated head I don't know if the 292 had both style heads).I think they can be modified to fit the other but I haven't seen anything on converting the 250 brackets to the 292.
