So you can't get a colored instrument bezel huh? I painted mine today, it was black. It goes great with my GMC horn button I did yesterday.

I used liquid mask on the letters and it came out pretty good.

Learn something every day. Liquide mask eh. How is it to work with and does it come of easily. Who makes it?

I used SEM elastomeric paint. I masked it all off, put on a coat of bulldog, then a coat of grey primer, and then two coats of paint.

krue, my truck is dark olive green, this is the correct int. color. I had it matched to the backside of the hornbutton. However, if you want the darker color on the metal to paint plastic, it can be matched, just take in a piece for them to match. It has to be flat, they told me. So the darker color may not look so hot. But, like I say, this is the correct int. color for dark olive green. I bought about two quarts and had them put some of it in a spray can.

western, I bought the liquid mask at a paint store here in Florida called Flex Bon. It is used to mask windows before a spray paint job in home. It doesn't stick to any non porous surface. I painted over the letters with a fine artists brush and let it dry for about 15 minutes. After the paint job, I took a hobby knife and peeled up the edges of the mask, it's like rubber and it peels off. It was very easy to work with and I am very pleased with the results. It looks like a brand new GMC bezel. Even the little block around "lights" and "wiper-washer" is green now.

That is an outstanding job...you oughta put this in the FAQ section. Even though no one asks about it very often, it is something we oughta hold onto for future referance.
