Heat Shield ?'s

I have 2 heat shields both for a 4x4 straight dump ramshorn. They are exactly the same eccept the bottom one has a hole in the top center. It has a 4 sided nut behind it for what I don't know. Anyone seen this and know what it's for?

Thanks, Scott

Re: Heat Shield ?'s

I had one from a car that had the threaded hole, but not sure what it's for either.

My California '72 C10 has a smog pump A.I.R system with a 350. The A.I.R. tube fittings thread into the Rams Horn manifolds through drilled bosses in the sides.

Good guess, though.
