From a helpful poster over at alt.autos.camaro.firebird:

"Cool, I remember when I was a kid I had a '67 chevy truck, '67 RS camaro and a
'67 corvette. I would have had my buddies '67 chevelle too but my parents said
I had too many cars already. They were right, I guess. The camaro is all I
have left of my childhood, how sad, oh, well the measurements are approximately
5' x 8.5". It would be really cool of the headlight doors worked on that truck.
Is that a custom deal or an old GM press photo?"

5' x 8.5" huh, hm wheres one of the tapes at i am now going ot shed ot measure the 68 !

back now, well if you center 5 feet of tape in the grille across it, the ends of the tape end up about a third of the way into the headlamp grille opening areas from away from the center of the grille, but the 8.5" height is basically a perfect fit, leaves the outside diameter surround of the grille to be used with SS grille. hmmmmmmmm.......
is the 5 foot width including the headlamps doors thingies of the maro grille?

thanks@@@

Some more info for ya...

"The 5 foot measurement is from the outer edge of the right bezel moulding to
the outer edge of the left one. Its the size of the opening that the qrille
assembly fits into."
