Upholstery issue

This seemed like the only fitting forum to post this. If it's in the wrong spot, please move it to the correct one, mods.

I have put a lot of time into my console (way more than I imagined). Anyway, I am stuck and I am in the final stage. I have the the inside and outside upholstered (pics attached). I tried wrapping all the way around with 1 piece of vinyl, but it wasn't working out where the sub was. I could not get it clean no matter how many relief cuts I used. I decided to cut and glue the inside and outside pieces separately, and now I have the edges to finish.

I tried to use sprinkler line, which kind of works but it's got a natural bend and it kinks when I put it on, which you can really see in the second picture. Heating it only does so much. There has to be a product available that will suit my needs, I just don't know what it is. Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I use door edge trim (comes in about 2' strips at AutoZone or wherever) a lot for that type stuff, but that's probably not wide enough. I usually just stumble around Lowe's when I'm trying to find something that will work.
What about some vacuum line split down the middle?

The door edge trim looks great. Fumbling around on Google I found some that might be wide enough, just need to make sure. I'll probably pick up a small piece from autozone just to test fit. Thanks for the idea, hopefully it works.

Thanks. I ended up using 1/2" rubber hose. Works perfectly, I just need to use the right stuff to dye it to get did of the white writing on the hose.

I second that We could use an interior forum
, headliners, door panels trim pieces all VOODOO that can leave you frustrated or Broke paying big bucks to a pro shop !

FWIW the "right" way to do that would be to cut each piece with a 1/4-1/2" overlap, then roll and double-stitch them, putting the seam at the apex of the bend. If you look at how the bespoke builders run tweed or leather interiors, all "hard" edges usually have a sewn seam.

You're 100% right. The only issue is that I don't own a sewing machine, nor did I want to pay someone to do it for me. Not to mention that I'm sure my seam would be all kinds of jacked up. Either way, I got my fix, it doesn't look cheap, and it only cost me a couple bucks.

If you do want to continue doing this kinda stuff,you can PU old sewing machines for next to nothing.I picked up 3 for nothing,ordinary home machines and I,ve reupholstered the back seat of my old car and it turned out pretty good,now I,m doing the truck seat.I wish there was some sorta interior forum
