Need help finding houndstooth interior
Hello boys, I'm about googled out after searching for a week. I have a medium bronze blazer with bronze and white houndstooth interior. I haven't seen another with the same interior. The original back seat interior is fine but the front buckets really need changing. Can someone PLEASE point me in right direction. I've tried LMC and GMS Paul's but they do not offer them
P.S. - I advise people to stay away from the Vitamin water in the pictures, tastes like *&*#. |

Re: Need help finding houndstooth interior
Hmm, I'd agree, not regular houndstooth. May have to go to an aftermarket upholsterer. You can check with Tim Christian though at Christians Classics though. He sells the seat covers as well. I got a set of white and black houndstooth from him for a good price. Jeff.

Ya might check with WES at Classicheartbeat.com too. You could even take a day trip down to Olympia and visit him to pickup all the parts you need.

Re: Need help finding houndstooth interior
The driver's seat is in very bad shape, looks like it's 30 years old to me but I could be wrong. Here's the service parts ID, anyone have a clue what Special Promotional is? Appreciate the help!!

Re: Need help finding houndstooth interior
Hey Bo Hawg, welcome to the board. How far is Mckinney from San Antonio. Keep an eye out for a Blazer meet in late February. I'm gonna try and put something together. As far as the special promotional option you may want to pm Critter. His CST has the same option. Later, Mario. P.S. post some pics of the whole blazer. Later

Re: Need help finding houndstooth interior

Re: Need help finding houndstooth interior
I think the special promotional option was the highlander plaid/ac/tilt deal search the used parts board one of the members had some of the original literature on that option the original seats would have had the plaid inserts like these seats (pictured) well maybe not that color...DST

Re: Need help finding houndstooth interior
Bo Hawg- that is just tweed material used for your inserts. That's not a herringbone pattern. You can get tweed from your local upholstery shop.

Re: Need help finding houndstooth interior
I'll send some pics tomorrow probably if I can get up early enough to wash it Calling for sleet tomorrow which means I'll be on the road with people that are either driving too fast or on their brakes on a bridge. I'll take some pics of the driver seat as well to show yall the condition, I guess it looks like that the seats are not stock. I have a mechanic buddy that takes care of about 20 classic cars for a guy and he's got a really good upholstery guy, I was hoping they're stock to match the back seat that's in really good shape. Blue Thunder, Mckinney is a suburb about 25 miles north of Dallas. I'd like to meet up with other blazer owners and have a couple of cold ones and shoot the.....if anyone is interested.

Re: Need help finding houndstooth interior
yes, special promotional would be the highlander. with medium bronze your truck would have the black and gray plaid. i linked a pic of a bench seat out of a truck this color for you. you can still get the plaid material from sms auto fabrics. it's $85 a yard. i'd guess 2 1/2 yards for your front and rear seats. hope this helps.

Re: Need help finding houndstooth interior
Black and grey with bronze? Weird....the carpet I have is brown and faded and it sure looks original, I guess one of the PO's changed the carpet? I appreciate all the info yall are giving me, I'm trying to go back to as original as I can.

Re: Need help finding houndstooth interior
yes, other choices are blue, green, or orange, don't think that would go too well. sunvisors, door panels, and seats would be be parchment. (white) dash pad and carpet would be black.

Re: Need help finding houndstooth interior
Thanks for the help 72Highlander, the dash pad is black or would be if it wasn't so faded. I guess I'll have to order black carpet as well, I wonder if the wood panel inserts on the doors are original?

Re: Need help finding houndstooth interior
pickups were custom deluxes and didn't have them, only cheyennes and supers had them. your blazer would probably have them as a part of the cst package.
