Oil Pump making a clicking noise

I was told it was the pump and that's they way they are. Is this normal? It's pretty loud, I can hear it at stop lights.

Do you have an oilpressure guage? If so keep an eye on it. If whomever they are that said it was the pump the only thing I could thing it would be is the little plastic coller that holds the pump shaft to the pump. If that is what it is I would fix it now while its cheap instead of it breaking while your cruzzin and lose pressure. Not a pretty sight. Check it out.
