6cyl & V8 motor brackets (whats the difference?)

I need some help here distinguishing the two types of motor brackets apart. Im told that mine are both 6cyl and 8 cyl. Pics would be great if you have some. Thanks

Re: 6cyl & V8 motor brackets (whats the difference?)

Those appear to be V8 towers. I have sets for V8 and 250 I6 and they are different. There are 3 holes on each frame rail. The I6 towers bolt to the rear 2 on the frame rail. The V8 bolt to the front 2 on the frame rail. I got V8 towers for my son's truck thinking his originals were double duty but they wouldn't line up with anything on the crossmember in the rear holes. They only fit correctly in the forward position. I had to either get 6cyl towers or a new driveshaft. Towers were cheaper and the v8 will still bolt up. As for the rubber engine mounts, as far as I know, they are the same for V8 and 6.

They are V8's and not 6 cyl. I have both. The 6's bolt to the back and are taller due to the narrower block.

there is no difference in height on the I6 and the V8 mounts. I have used both and the difference is the place where they mount on the frame rails and the cross member. same height.
