NV4500 slave cylinder
Hello never posted before so here goes. Got a 72 4x4 on a 77 3/4 ton frame. Gm 383ht and i am putting a nv4500 behind it. Trans is out of a 95 3/4 ton pickup with an external slave cylinder. Does anyone know if the 96 and newer internal slave cylinder will bolt in. Reason I ask is my np208 is a passenger drop and i am worried about clearance between the front driveline and the slave cylinder when the suspension compresses. Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Re: NV4500 slave cylinder
I dont think there is a mount on the older ones to hold the bearing assy.
They make an aftermarket one for older trannies but its like $500.00 |

Thanks for the reply sneakysnake, any link to the aftermarket part? How does the setup in your picture mount to the trans?

Re: NV4500 slave cylinder
They make an assortment of these these things, google "hydraulic throwout bearing". for your exact application.
