New Member/New Truck

Just bought an 85 Shortbed Silverado and I love it.

Glad to see there is an active bunch from NC on here.

I'll post some pics when I get a chance.

Just wanted to say, Hey.

Plan right now is to re-do the interior. It is definitely showing its age.

Dash pad is cracked in several places, the velour on the drivers side bench has several worn spots, and the door panels and headliner are dry and brittle. Someone has re-dyed the door panels, but I've already pulled up a spot with my elbow. Came up red! You can write your name in the headliner, but watch out, you'll get crap in your eyes!

Nice thing is, it was an older man's truck, so it is complete! There is nothing "missing". It still has all the emissions stuff, cat, and such. I really don't have to un-do anything.

Of course, it's far from perfect. It's a really nice 10 footer. You really have to get close to see anything that needs work, but there is plenty of it.
