sound deadener ?
Hello everybody i am going to install new carpet but i want to install some sound deadener but what kind should i go with ? i was thinking DYNOMAT
but looking for opinions thanks everybody |

I used the cheap stuff from Lowes ,Peel'N'Seal ,worked great .

I always tell people to read this guy's site before spending a lot of money lining their entire cab in Dynamat or another product. Those products are not truly sound deadeners, they are vibration dampeners, and to get the effect you only need to cover 25% of the sheet metal. To truly deaden sound you then need to lay down a layer of foam and put mass-loaded vinyl (MLV) above it. The MLV is what deadens the sound. MLV is heavy and dense, which is what keeps sound from passing through it.
