Re: Show me your 4x4 Suburbans!

Here is a photoshop rendering of what mine will hopefully look like by the end of Summer 2011. It is currently in a kazillion pieces undergoing a frame off restoration. The truck is one of the board members, can`t remember who, just changed the paint scheme to what I am going to do.

What's your wheel and tire package? The stock custom look is what I'm after.

Sorry for the delay but I don't remember off hand. Wheels are 16.5, I'll measure offset and width as close as I can after Thanksgiving.

Saw this today, i am a couple of years late but i just got through painting and will be starting assembly next week. Havent decided on tire size yet. I have a 6 inch spring lift and will be running rallye wheels with either 35 or 37 inch tires. Any suggestions on which size to run?

Thanks. It's an older restoration... I put the wheels/caps on it, have been doing some mechanical stuff, and other misc corrections to finish her.

I have heard of the option under your rear seat, but this is the first time I have ever seen one!

John,

Would this be considered a dealer option?

There is an A/C round turn switch below the dash on the driver's side. It's small and has A/C in the center of the switch itself.

Thanks guys! Love all the Suburbans posted so far!

I want to find some heavy duty tow hooks for the front like dougo has on his 'burb. Also going to see if my power window kit from Brothers will work on this beast.

Keep 'em coming!

Our '70 K10 driver. Or it was, at least, until a couple weeks ago when the tired engine gave up. Good machine shop located, hoping to have it back on the road in March...

Might as well throw frank the tank in this thread.

68 K20 4" lift 35s Toroflow V6 Diesel/5spdOD/Div Dana 23. Will be swapped with a 91.5 Cummins/G360/205/D60F after this next deployment.

Are those the original buckets? If so, what does the SPID show as the option for them?

These are terrible pictures, but you have to understand my camera is an old digital 3.2 mega pixel model that just never has taken very clear photographs.
