Converting from 4WD to 2WD
How difficult is it to do this on a 69-72 Blazer? Is it a simple matter of bolting on parts from a 1/2 ton 71-72 donor truck? I have 1/2 ton front clip, and a 12 bolt rear with a coil spring set-up. Will this stuff bolt right in? Or are there differences in the 2wd and 4wd frames? Thanks.

Re: Converting from 4WD to 2WD
You can also just use a flip kit in the back

Re: Converting from 4WD to 2WD
I'm in the process of doing with all porterbuilt parts. Some of the problems I'm finding are there is not front x-member to reference the bolt for the porterbuilt. and keeping the axle in the same position in reference to the frame..
Also, changing the axle saddles is another issues, but Nathan gave me the measurements to help rectify that.. I'm sure I'll work through them, but there are some of the issues |
