Brake booster
I was wanting to know if the brake booster for a 72 truck is the same as a 87 truck. I have a brand new brake booster in the garage, but it is for my 72, I want to replace the booster on my sons 87, no one has one in stock, I wanted to do this today, will the brake booster work?

Best thing to do is check with your local Chevy or GMC dealership for part numbers. I'm installing what appears to be a newer booster on my '72 3/4. So far nothing seems to be lining up. The holes don't line up, and the rod from the pedal to the booster is diffrent too. Good luck with you project and let us know your results.
