Need a little help with my Dash
I am getting ready to strip the inside of my cab and was told the dash was a simple removal. It looked simple enough but after pulling the gauge cluster and the 8 mounting bolts, the driver side was easy to get loose but the center and passenger sides are stuck. After looking at it more closely it looks like I may have to remove the windshield and windshield seal. Anyone know if Ihave to or have pointers on how to get it loose?
Oh yeah its a 64, not sure if the 63 and earlier dash mount the same. Last edited by Rannos; 03-09-2010 at 03:35 PM. |

Re: Need a little help with my Dash
you have to take the windshield out, drill spot welds out along the lower lip of windshield channel, take three bolts out on each side, then you are good to go.i have done it before and it is not a hard job, just takes awhile to get the spotwelds drilled out.
