Anyone have 3/4 ton or 4x4 cab mount bolt dimensions? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Bought a cab mount kit from a local vendor, but it only came with the 2 long front cab mount bolts and nuts along with all the cab mounts and core support mounts, it is counterpart brand kit. I wonder why they dont include all the bolts? Anyways, anyone know the length of the rear cab mount bolts and the core support bolts? Only other option I have is to head to the salvage and try to find a 3/4 ton truck and get the bolts from it. THANKS!

I am not positive on the lengths but here is the thread with the length that I believe they are.

Rear cab mount bolts, 7/16-14 x 6", hex head

Core support bolts, 7/16-14 x 4", carriage head

I'm getting ready to do the cab mounts on my 70 4x4.The kit I bought also came with only front bolts. After I started a thread about installing the mounts I found out the rear bolts are welded in place.I have'nt been under the truck to check it out,but members who have done this job seem to think it's not a big deal.Check out the thread I started about 4 days ago Rick

I have the old set in the garage and will measure them tomorrow and post the lenghts. Mine are from a 67 4x4 3/4 so they should be right. Matter of fact let me check to see if they are reusable and you can have them.

Thanks! I'd be open for that. This forum is the greatest help for these old trucks! Mines kind of weird deal because i'm putting a 2wd truck om a 4wd chassis, so I dont have all the necessary bolts, again I dont understand why COUNTERPART doesnt give ALL the necessary hardware like it says on the package?

ok, so I pulled a rear cab bolt from a 1970 3/4 ton and it measures 7/16 x 8.5 inches long?

Gene, I have all the originals that I removed from my 67 3/4 ton 4x4. You want them or just the measurements?
