1971 Spiral Shocks?

Did 1971 Chevrolet half ton pick ups come factory equipped with front and rear spiral shocks?

Thanks

Are you talking about coil springs or load leveler shocks?

I recently removed the spiral shocks off my 69, so, yes I believe that 71 would have these also.

My 68 had spiral shocks on it all around. I still kick myself for throwing them away. I now have a set of NOS ones ready to go back on some day.

Here's a picture. Chevy shocks from the 50's?-early 70's? had sprials around the inner part of the shock. I don't know why but they're cool.

My 72 dually still has the original front shocks. They have a spiral groove around them if that's what ya'll are talking about.

I'd give them to anyone who wanted to pay shipping. I'm not a fan of 33 year old shocks.

I've got two of those from a '72 1 ton GMC, they're rusted all to hell but they're surprisingly still good! Anybody have the correct part numbers for these?
