shortbed 2wd with leaf springs???

ok so I just went and saw a a 71 super cheyenne and its looks like its in original condition. 350,350 fleetside with a leaf spring 12 bolt rear end. Anyone ever seen that? thanks guys

it was an option on all trucks that came with coils in the back. SWB, LWB, 10 series or 20 series.

...but, I still prefer the coils.

Weren't GMC's normally equipped with leaf springs and coils were the option? That was the reverse of Chevy....

thats what people here think, but like some of us keep saying, it's not that easy.
Some years, some sizes (ie 1500/2500) came standard with leafs, while other years had coils standard.

I've got a swb leaf frame here. It'll get switched to coils before I use it though.
