Although I have a Demon on my truck right now, I would have to say Holley because I have used so many of them in the last 35 years. I bought the Demon because I just wanted to try one ( basically a copy of the Holley)

Got a carter on everything I own. When I had the 68 I even had a old carter on it. Never have had any problems with them.

Qjet on the C20 & the Caprice. Minimal problems. Especially once they were cleaned up.
Holley on the bus. Great carb until the needle & seat decided there was too much fuel in the float bowl. So glad it let me know in the middle of Flint. Hate that carb. Plus the throttle linkage on the carb is DESIGNED to default to WOT if the return spring on the pedal linkage breaks. Idiotic design--especially on a bus.

i dig my quadrajet...
i like the fact that if for some reason it crapped out on the road, that parts are readily available... and it doesn't run any worse than the edelbrock 1407 i used to run... here's a good link:http://www.toronado.org/qualqj.htm

I've had Rochester's, Holley's and an Edelbrock... TPI is next.
Out with the old... In with the new... Link to illustrated TPI installation in a '71 Blazer... I'm sure it will be as easy as it looks when I do mine http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4292391623

I read where Holley has a new carb built just for trucks advertised in a couple of mags.
Is this any good? I plan to rebuild my QJet sometime or get an Edelbrock around the same time I upgrade to HEI.
