What is better Hagrty's or Grundy's?
I have insurance through Hagarty's on my truck and I've asked them how their insurance is better than Grundy's and They still can't tell me why they are better. Who is better and Why?

I can't tell you who's better, but I have Hagerty on my '71 lwb and I also had it on my '63 Lincoln Continental. I've never had a claim on either, but anytime I had a question, they were very helpful.

I had Hagerty but just switched to American Collectors for lower premiums. I sacrificed some of the "extras" such as rental cars, show coverage and stuff but it fits my needs just fine. You can't go wrong with either Hagerty or Grundy though in my opinion.

Re: What is better Hagrty's or Grundy's?
I personally have received better price quotes from Grundys on 2 different trucks.
I was pointed to Grundys because Hagerty would not cover my last show truck because it was a 1994 and considered too new, Hagerty covered it no problem. Grundys doesnt have a so-called mileage restriction but it is supposed to only be driven for "car show related" events & not be a daily driver or secondary driver. I have not had a claim with Grundys but have been happy with their customer service. Last edited by JWall; 12-28-2009 at 10:16 AM. |

I have Grundy because of their no restrictions on how many miles you can put on a vehicle. I mean whats the point of insuring something if they wont let you drive it?!! Besides, Grundy was cheaper than Hagerty anyway. Have not ever made a claim but they are great to deal with.

I have Grundy, they have better rates than Hagerty. I have two friends that had claims with Grundy, they paid off with no problems at all. One was a total loss.

Dave call Smokey Mtn Insurance and talk with Bob Nowacowski (sp) he sells hagerty and is a great guy to deal with. He doesn't screw around and does as he says. I have the 71 insured for 30,xxx, the 68 for 4,5xx and will put the 4x4 on as soon as it is finished. Claims are done within 2 days. I am paying less for two vehicles than I was paying for a quarter through the Farm. I don't have his number but he is located in Waynesville and is a car guy- Smokey Mtn Insurance.
