Stock Radio Delete Plate Availability?

Has anyone saw or have a stock radio delete plate available?

Just looking to remedy an over cut radio for now and later fix properly.

Suppose I can make something, just saw plate on a truck and that would work for now.

Look for them on the parts board or become a subscribing member and post a want to buy ad.

Re: Stock Radio Delete Plate Availability?

To understand, I removed a DIN Radio previous Owner installed from dash that cut into the surrounding metal to accommodate. Not bad I can use the radio delete plate or make one. But I can probably replace with a better quality DIN radio than waste money on the radio delete plate?

About your only options other than welding in a piece from junk yard or place like brothers trucks eho i believe make the replacement metal to make into original radio hole again

Re: Stock Radio Delete Plate Availability?

The radio delete plate is made to fit in the original radio hole. if it's been cut out the delete plate clips may not hold it in place , the center dash original repair sections can be found in the parts section occasionally . be first they go fast . the repair sections sold by some vendors aren't the easiest to use compared to a cut dash section from the dash gauge panel to the glove box and you'll need to weld them in and do finish body work . if you don't have the tools and equipment find a din radio .

Yah, I think replacing the DIN Radio will be easiest and look fine. Not best picture but you can see old DIN Radio installed. I think upgrade is best option for now. Thank you all for feedback.

Re: Stock Radio Delete Plate Availability?

I have a home made one. My radio section is cut pretty bad. This was $14 on eBay, it is almost as nice as $14 should be. Good enough for now. I'll try to post a picture. Seems $75 is the internet price for the real ones!

Re: Stock Radio Delete Plate Availability?

Just because someone is asking $75 doesn't mean they will get it I have not (and would never) pay more than $25 for one.

I agree,... but I think the price has gone up a lot.
I bought several REALLY NICE "original paint" delete plates, for $25-$30.
Those days are over.
Now all you find is rusty dented delete plates for $50-$75 + shipping.
Its all about supply and demand,...

This below, is the only one I found on Ebay,... and might be worth it if you need that color.
(which is hard to find)

Re: Stock Radio Delete Plate Availability?

You can find anything reasonable if you look hard enough. I bought a near perfect sport bumper off CL last week for $50, complete with brackets and license tag.

I agree, a 67-68 steering wheel here is normally 75 and up for a pretty cracked up one and normally no horn button, I bought one off CL two weeks ago with a nice horn button and minimal cracking for 30.00.

I am faithful in watching for the CL deals but you better jump on them when you see them.

Patience is the key but you have to be ready to move when you find a deal. I bought a brand new set of factory wheels and Goodyear Wranglers for my F150 the other day. Retail for both is somewhere around $1,700 to $2,000. I paid $550.
