Re: fix locks
Lockdoc (Leon) would be your "be to" man for that question.

Re: fix locks
Outside lock is broke or door handle button is broke? If you hammered on the button to open the door then you broke the tabs off more than likely. You will need to take the inner door skin off and there are 2 7/16 bolts that hold the handle on to the door. Take those out the handle will fall off so keep a hand on it. The button is either in the bottom of the door or is hanging to the handle once you get it out you'll see how it goes.
In the past I have cut a small cut on the sides put the button back inside the handle and then bend it over to reinstall and hold it in place. That's the cheap way to fix it. The right way is buy a new one. Oh and don't have it washed right before a big freeze!

I think Andy is right on the money here. I think the terminology is messing us up..... The lock is where the key goes in and the handle is where the push button is. Not meaning to sound like a smart a$$ but if we were standing face to face looking at the part it wouldn't be a problem seeing what it was. Being miles apart and conversing over the internet the description needs to be a little more accurate. Just a friendly heads up.... LockDoc
